Action Auto Celebrates Year of Record Growth

Action Auto, a fast-growing dealership with locations in the southeast, is planning for substantial growth after celebrating several key milestones in 2021.

The company sold its 1,000th car for the year in December, opened two new dealerships in Alabama and saw a significant increase in revenue.

“After the year that Action Auto had, it’s hard not to be excited,” said Operations Director Crystal Elliott. “When we break records, it ignites passion and makes us extra focused and ready to tackle new things in 2022.”

Moving into 2022, the company has plans to begin opening two to three new lots annually. They will join their current list of locations that includes Oxford, Miss., Columbus, Miss., Tupelo, Miss., Decatur, Ala. and Florence, Ala.

Elliott credits 2021’s achievements and her hopeful attitude to her growing team of dedicated salespeople. During 2021, Elliott educated the sales team about Action Auto’s important role in the community and worked with them to create an exciting customer experience.

“The people that work here have a lot of passion for what they do,” Elliott said. “When they have a desire to do a job well and know-how, and why to do it, they’re unstoppable. Anyone visiting our dealerships will automatically recognize that our employees believe in what they’re doing.”

Besides increasing sales, Action Auto’s salespeople have become public figures in their communities. The Action Auto staff takes time to engage with and get to know their neighbors on social media and at local events.

“By doing this work in our communities, people see and meet our salespeople. They look to our sales staff for advice on all kinds of things,” said Elliott. “They are a trusted face in the community, and that’s seriously needed in our industry.”

To celebrate their top seller, Action Auto honored Jolynn Medina with the Salesperson of the Year award. As the lot manager of the Oxford dealership, Medina sold a total of 161 vehicles throughout 2021.

The 2nd and 3rd place runners-up for the award were Scott Gomez and Charles King, both of the Tupelo dealership.

“Here at Action Auto, I take pride in my job and responsibilities. There’s never a dull moment when it comes to my staff and interacting with customers,” King said. “It makes me feel good knowing that I was the one who made a difference toward someone’s situation.”

Action Auto is always seeking talented, motivated individuals to join their sales team, especially as they open new locations throughout Mississippi and Alabama.

“I’m looking for someone who can keep a positive attitude through just about anything and who wants to learn,” Elliott said. “I bring on people without experience because it makes it that much sweeter when they do succeed.”
